Memphis In May Announces 2019 Beale Street Music Festival Lineup

Long famous for its vast array of genres, the forty-third yearly Beale Street Music Festival retains to this convention, introducing a lineup having something for everybody: rock, alternative, R&B, hip hop, indie, pop, and blues. Combining these are first-time headliners Khalid, OneRepublic, and Cardi B, coming from her history-making triumph Sunday night at the Grammys since the first female to get Greatest Rap Album honors.

“The Beale Street Music Festival watched over 102,000 in Tom Lee Park annually with supporters in all fifty states and twenty-two nations. We wanted to offer you a much larger lineup in 2019 as our town celebrates its bicentennial, and we feel as this could be our very best lineup ,” stated James L. Holt, President and CEO of Memphis in May. “The 2019 lineup includes present chart-toppers and coming fan favorites that always draw big crowds to our distinctive setting on the Mississippi River.”

Other musicians featured this year include India.Arie, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Lord Huron, Flogging Molly, 6lack, Trippie Redd, Chvrches, Lil Dicky, Good Charlotte, Big Boi, Dirty Heads, This Moment, Simple Plan, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Moon Taxi, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Actual, Coin and a Lot More.

Beale Street Music Festival 2019 Lineup

Together with our ethnic salute to Memphis this season, there is a particular emphasis on local talent with twenty per cent of our actors coming from Memphis and the surrounding region! Apart from the lead guitarist for Shinedown, this comprises rappers MoneyBagg Yo, Blocboy JB and NLE Choppa, together with Healy, Liz Brasher, Saving Abel, John Kilzer along with the Scars, and Muck Sticky. Local talent from the Coca-Cola Blues Tent contains Stax legend William Bell, Southern Avenue, Ghost City Blues Band, Will Tucker, Blind Mississippi Morris, Christone”Kingfish” Ingram, Terry”Harmonica” Bean, Super Chikan, Brandon Santini, Gracie Curran and the High Falutin’ Band, Barbara Blue, Fuzzy Jeffries, Deak Harp & Quicksand, Sam Joyner, along with Linear Smith.

The festival opens to the general public at 5:00 pm Friday, May 3 and runs through Sunday, May.
